For the past several months Doctors Without Borders has been sending me a world atlas along with their donation solicitation letter.

I have seven of them now, and rather than just throw them away or hang them on my wall as-is, I got the idea to recreate Pangæa using the modern landmasses (it was also a good use of various odds and ends of mat board scraps I had laying around).

I’m also not the only one obsessed with maps; a day later I walked into MoMA to find these atlases on the walls:
